Skiing

Skiing, a fun experience that I can officially and finally cross off my bucket list, but I don't intend to stop skiing just because I crossed it off ; After about four or five falls I finally got the hang of it and decided this was actually fun, and that I would enjoy to do this more often then just this one time.

I left the battlefield with only one bruise. Victory.
Really though it feels like freedom to just go down, it really is amazing.When I get better I will buy my own skis and boots, and go skii tracking down a huge mountain but for now it's going to be one slope at a time.

Changes

It's simple knowledge to know that with move comes changes, but it's still a learning process to allow more good then bad with these changes. I'm always learning that patience and kindness takes you farther, but at times all these changes can stress me so it's important to know, understand, and learn your limits over time.

Day Two

Meeting someone for the first time can be so scary, especially if you are taking a huge leap of faith in hopes that the both of you will have something to bond about with. Nervous, tired, and a bit wary of each other first we quickly found that we had more in common then we originally thought. Learning about each other slowly was so interesting, fun, and adventerous. Soon enough we found ourselves laughing, sharing music, and then talking about similar hobbies together. Everyone let me introduce you to my friend Jing, she is from Taiwan and she has left me with some of the best memories of my life. I hosted her for one night and two days and the bond is pretty strong  now; we warmed up to each other quickly and both agreed that it felt like we had known each other longer then two days. She was a wonderful guest and I was lucky to have met her; our gifts exchanged were simple but the meaning behind them was and is strong. (A picture for a picture) The sad thing is that I can't really express how much I am truly grateful that she allowed me to host her, or how I am so happy that she has encouraged me in so many different ways. It was hard not to smile or laugh with her around, she has brightened my world just a bit more and for that I am so very thankful. 

I now have a wanderlust for Taiwan, and for that I hope that one day Jing will show me around.

Cookie Dough Truffles

I remember making these a while back and being so happy about something  that was so simple, easy, and fun to make. Well, I want to try more simple recipes for baking; you see when I baked or cooked I sometimes would over do it, which began stressing me out so I would lose all the joys from baking and cooking. It's ok to want to start slow and steady sometimes.

 So hopefully in the near future you'll see some sweet posts and pictures from my baking/cooking adventures.
